Keith Ramsey -Tenor Sax

Keith Ramsey, Saxman 🎷. Keith started out playing in Sylva with the Echoes (later The Peppermint Soul) during the late 1960s, where he learned to play sweet soul music. He played in earlier versions of 1st Train while @ Western Carolina and @ UNC. Keith revived his music interests while in Mobile, Al, with another 1st Train Alumnus, Layne Barrett, in the infamous Baysiders from 1999-2003. He played sax, some keyboards, wrote a few songs, and was a “Smooth Operator” guest DJ on a local radio jazz station. After returning to North Carolina in 2005, Keith played intermittently until rejoining 1st Train in 2017. Keith enjoys wearing creative t-shirts, ribbing the other horn players, & playing a few solos. Sent from my iPhone
